Micromax A210 Canvas 4, the premium Micromax smartphone has undergone benchmark tests done by Fonearena guys. It fails to impress with the score as there are not too many changes in hardware segment. It has a MediaTek MT6589 chip that couples quad core 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex A7 application processor, 286 MHz clocked PowerVR SGX544MP GPU. There is also a GB of RAM. But this hardware is not enough to score way too high. The score is just over the scores of Micromax A116 Canvas HD. Out of the box it runs Android 4.2.1 JellyBean operating system.
You can see it scores 13318 in AnTutu which is more than Canvas HD and several other MediaTek MT6589 powered smartphones. Quad core 1.2 GHz Cortex A5 Snapdragon 200 powered Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro is also falling behind in this test.

In Quadrant benchmark test Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro beats all MediaTek MT6589 powered smartphones. Micromax Canvas 4 manages to score 4083.

In next few months we will have plenty of 1.5 GHz quad core MediaTek MT6589T Turbo powered devices that will dramatically change benchmark scores. Let’s wait til that happens.
